Q:

How do I remove Clone files and folders the fastest way?

A:

A recommended method for this, using Clone Tools is:

1: Select a folder in the result list that you want to keep.

2: The Clones list will now show all folders with that shares clone files or folders with the folder you selected in the clones list.

3: Select a folder in the Clones List, the Twin Browser will show the contents of the selected folders side by side, you can now compare the folders.

4: You can either remove the Clone files manually in the Twin Browser or use the Merge Folders button. The Merge folders function will combine the contents of the two folders and delete the folder selected in the Clones list (It is completely safe to do this only clone files will be deleted). More info on the merge function can be found here.

5: Repeat from step 1.

Q:

Can I buy Clone Tools in any other way then online?

A:

Sorry, this is presently the only way to purchase Clone Tools.

Q:

The file operations (delete, move) are really slow, what can i do?

A:

Empty the recycle bin (right click on the icon on the desktop and choose empty). When files are deleted in Clone Tools they are moved to the recycle bin (if possible). When there are a lot of files already in the recycle bin, delete gets slow. This is a Windows "feature", but is curable by simple emptying the recycle bin.

Q:

Why do I get the message "Could not Create: (filename)" when I try to copy a file?

A:

It is because Windows won't let you copy or move a file to the target directory. There can be different reasons for this. Either you do not have write access to the target folder or the combined path and file name may be too long. The windows internal functions that Clone Tools use only allow for 260 characters in a file path.
